Young Leaders Programme - FAQs

I have dietary needs – can these be accommodated?

We are used to meeting most dietary needs, including; vegetarian, dairy, gluten-free, lactose intolerant, religious dietary and other dietary needs. When you apply, we are going to ask you to let us know what your dietary needs are, and when you arrive, we are going to double-check with you to make sure we’re able to take care of your needs.

What is a typical day like?

A typical day starts with your classes in the morning. After lunch, you will have a combination of either workshops or lectures, while the evenings often include fun social events.

How do we monitor where the students are?

Our students have a full programme however if students choose to use their free time to explore Oxford, we have got a register for sign-in and sign-out. Please note that 16+ students are only allowed to leave the accommodation with a friend (they are not permitted to go out by themselves).

Students are also fully supervised throughout the day. They either have to take part in one of our group activities, or relax in the accommodation.

What academic things do I need to bring with me (such as stationery etc.)?

You can carry the usual stationery you would take to school with you – pens, pencils, paper.

Do I need to do much pre-reading?

We will provide you with a recommended reading list that will give you an introduction to the programme and your chosen academic stream, so that you can make the most out of your classes with us.
